Elliot,

You are six weeks old and so so sweet!

You continue to be very interactive - bigger smiles the older you get.  Especially when you're on your changing table; you love it up there.

You're stating to put on a little weight, especially in those cheeks!  You're newest nickname is Cheeks McGee; Cheeks for short.  ;)  You're still breastfeeding, but we have to supplement each daytime feeding with a bottle of formula.

You actually had your 6 week appointment today and Dr. Dana thinks you're looking fantastic!  You weigh 10 lbs / 11 oz, which puts you into the 50th percentile for weight.  You're about there for height (22 in) and head circumference (15 in) too.  You received your second Hep B vaccination as well.

We've been using your Rock N Play Sleeper a lot because you sleep so well in it.  We try for the Pack N Play at first, but once you wake up and I feed you, I find myself plopping you in the rocker.  You had your longest stretch of sleep to date the night of January 4th: 5 hours!  Thank you, sweetheart.

We love love love you.

Another week in pictures.

30 December through 5 January

Elliot and his swing; it took him a while to warm to it, but he eventually came around.  Every once in a while he'd nap in swing, and it was great place to set him when we needed to get things done.  (He grew out of it around 5 months.)

Oh boy.  (Poor dry skin.)

Elliot's first time on MUNI!  The three of us headed downtown to wander around and give the ErgoBaby a spin.  Elliot also wore "shoes" for the first time, which I found ridiculously adorable.

Devin and Elliot being freaking awesome in their Megadeth shirts.  The one Elliot is wearing is on loan from Isaac Iten, who received it from Devin and me when he was born.

Around this time I took some pictures of Elliot's room.  It hasn't changed much, although we did move the futon into the living room and the love seat into E's room.  It's a peaceful place to be...

This chair is fabulous and from Jason and Shal.  The quilt on the back of the chair was a handmade gift from Kim Gillitzer; I love it and it's in Elliot's weekly and monthly photos.

I didn't like leaving the futon in Elliot's room, but it was great for guests while Elliot slept in our room.  Plus, it was a wonderful place to nap.

The quilt on Elliot's crib was make for him by his Great Grandma Ruth Wagner.  Susie Bear makes an appearance for weekly and monthly photo sessions.  (Guess who she's from.)

Jill made Elliot's fabulous mobile from natural gems she found at Sandy Beach in Juneau.  It's really really cool.  And as Telma, Elliot's nanny, pointed out, no other child has this one - it's completely unique.  The painting is also from Jill and, coincidentally, of Sandy Beach.  :)  (If you'll remember, it's where we took the photo of Yeti waiting for his baby brother.)

Rock 'n Play Sleeper, oh how I love you...

Jess (Keller) Williams suggested that we try one of these for naps and I'm so happy we took her advice.  Elliot slept so well in this thing that for a while we didn't even use his crib.  Unfortunately, like the swing, he has since grown out it.  :(  Until next time, my friend...

Fun with apps..
