Devin Turns 30

Devin turned 30 in June and in celebration, Brandon, Nikki, and I surprised him with...them!

The day they got into town I told Devin I was going to run to TJ Maxx (knowing that he'd pass on joining me) and collected "Brikki" from the airport.  We were still down in San Jose, and as the three of us walked into the hotel room Devin just looked at us, saying nothing, trying to figure out what/who he was seeing.

It was a busy weekend: we got the keys to our new place, it was Brikki's first trip to SF, the Giants played the Twins and, it happened to be Pride.  We did manage to leave the City and headed up to Sonoma county for a fews days of tasting!

Devin and Brandon went to the game...the Twins lost...badly.

Fear the Beard

We hit up Lagunitas in Petaluma and Russian River in Santa Rosa the first day...

Emily likes IPA, Nikki, not so much.

Saturday was spent tasting wine...

We got back to the city, and our neighborhood, just in time for Pride's Saturday night.  Wow.

Blurry view of Twin Peaks and the lit pink triangle for Pride from our deck.

The sea of people at Castro and Market.

Devin's birthday dinner...

I have American Honey eyes!

We didn't have any of our "stuff" from storage yet, so the four of us camped out on the living room floor using a collection of random sleeping equipment.  Nikki spent a few hours curled up on Yeti's bed covered up with a blanket from the airplane before joining Brandon on a borrowed air bed.  Brandon had one blanket and no pillow.  Devin and I were on another air bed, using sheets for blankets.

Happy Birthday Devin!

Happy 6th Birthday Yeti!

Each year he get a steak...  Lucky boy!

(We only gave him half.)

We love you, we love you, we love you!
XOXO

Oh The T

They say that people who live with dogs live longer.
How could this not take all the stress from your life?
Enjoy!  (Yeti did!)

Father's Day Behind Bars

**Again, I realize that all of these posts are very belated, but I want to get the pictures up, so I'm dealing with it.**

Nancy and Jeff came to California for Father's Day this past year.  At the time, we were still living at the Residence Inn down in San Jose, but we met them in up in the city and spent most of their visit in San Francisco.

That Saturday morning Devin and I drove up to SF so I could show him a flat I'd seen the afternoon before.  We got to 83 States Street at 8AM and 15 minutes later we signed a lease and wrote out a deposit check.  (That's how fast the market is here.)  A great weekend followed, enhanced by the fact that we had a place to live!

We took Jeff and Nancy on the Alcatraz tour for Father's Day.  It was such an interesting tour; informative, and a little creepy.
